Benefits of being a Pure Potential Alumni include:
Pure is a professional organisation which has been supporting the creative community in unlocking their full potential since 2009. We have a proven track record in being transparent, honest and inspirational.
We support artists in making the right choices in order to develop their career and side step self sabotage.
We enable opportunities to learn, take action and get involved.
We act as both cheerleader and annoying friend; the one who always asks the difficult questions and encourages you to try just that little bit harder so you can go that little bit further!
Before you begin any activity it is essential you gain absolute clarity of your intention.
These warmup activities are based on the NLP well-formed outcome activity and are aimed at exploring and helping you understand, define and get clarity on your individual purpose – your personal what, when, where and how questions.
Some artists see their work as a commercial endeavour, simply to make money, while others see it more as a vocation – neither is wrong - it is just important to understand your own intention and be honest and clear about it. By so doing you are most likely to succeed.
This module also contains videos to watch of artists discussing various related topics including procrastination and dream planning, and some PDF downloads you may find useful as you progress through the programme.
We see with our brains not with our eyes, so we first approach everything with our thoughts, which trigger our feelings and motivate our behaviour. To be successful therefore, we must master our mindset and believe it is never too late to pursue our dreams.
Google defines art as: the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.
Personally I prefer to think of art as a verb - we are artists because we create; we make; we art.
Successful artists spend a good percentage of their time in activities other than the actual making of work. They spend time on their art business; marketing; finance; administration etc.
These activities are important, but should not over shadow the main purpose of making art. To be successful in any field or endeavour we need to achieve balance - whatever that means to us personally.
When bankers get together for dinner, they discuss art. When artists get together for dinner, they discuss money!
- Oscar Wilde
Money is an uncomfortable subject for many, but, love it or hate it, we live in a society where we need money to live.
We need to connect with money and make it work for us, because, at the end of the day, money is just a tool that gives us choices.
To attract more money you need to hone your abundant mindset, strong in the belief you will receive what you need.
Marketing is the action or business of promoting and selling products, including market research and advertising.
Marketing your art is complex and continually evolving as technology expands and develops, but the fundamentals never change; relationships and amplification are the key.
Once you have completed the programme and uploaded all of your evidence, please contact Lesley by email at lesley@pureartsgroup.co.uk to organise your graduation 1-2-1 session.
